Fabricating 'Madame Butterfly'  One of  a series of 6 steel sculptures based on classical opera themes.

Elfrieda Lusty MRBS

Elfrieda  trained at Richmond College of Art, Kensington and Chelsea College, and St Martin's School of Art in London.

Her work in both Painting and Sculpture is modernist and abstract. In Sculpture she has worked with a variety of  materials , including mild steel, brass, copper and phosphor bronze.  Her interest in  contemporary materials resulted in a series of brightly coloured plexiglass wall sculptures which took inspiration  from desert, marine and urban landscapes.

Her paintings are uniquely abstracted by her own sculptures both in style and subject matter, which are often texturised or transformed to emulate sculptural forms on canvas.

Elfrieda is a member of the Royal Society of British Sculptors and has also been a member of the Chelsea Art Society since 1992.  She has exhibited her Sculptures and Paintings widely throughout London since 1990.
